I was raised on the east coast of Canada where I enjoyed a childhood spent playing in the countryside with my three sisters and many cousins. I earned my Bachelor of Arts and then my Bachelor of Education from St. Thomas University in Canada; I was a teacher in Canada for two years before I decided to pursue a career as an international teacher. Next I moved to Beijing, China where I was Head of Department for Grade 4 and taught Literacy, Mathematics and Inquiry for three years at the Canadian International School of Beijing. I have had the pleasure of teaching students from all around the world and this has provided me with an extensive understanding of childhood development and the language acquisition process. I am now in my third year of teaching Mathematics at IES Alvsjo and I look forward to another fun filled year of teaching and learning with our students!
